Central Texas Aviation Group Shipping Information

Domestic Shipping Methods

Central Texas Aviation Group uses the most efficient methods of order preparation and shipping available to deliver your products fast and hassle free. We offer Ground Service, Second Day and Next Day Delivery within the 48 contiguous states. Express service is available to Alaska, Hawaii and US possessions at published rates. Some areas may not be supported by all express services. To confirm your shipping destination is supported, please contact us at (737) 999-2322. Shipping charges may include a handling charge and may not represent the actual cost of shipping.

Generally, orders are assembled and shipped the same day if placed before 2PM Central Time. Otherwise, they ship the next business day.

While United Parcel Service (UPS) is the primary carrier for Central Texas Aviation Group, the US Postal Service may be used in some cases if determined more appropriate or an economical option is preferred by the customer. Available delivery times are as follows (Not applicable to APO/FPO):

Central Texas Aviation Group - UPS Service Area

Once you have selected all of the products you desire to purchase, you will find a shipping calculator in your cart. The shipping calculator will estimate the cost of shipping by entering the zip code of your location. Ground service is not available for all products in Alaska or Hawaii. During checkout the delivery charge will be confirmed once your delivery address has been entered. An additional shipping charge will be added at checkout for orders shipping via FedEx to Alaska and Hawaii. If you desire more economical shipping and are less concerned with delivery time, contact us regarding substituting the US Postal Service as the carrier.

Orders shipped within Texas are subject to state and local sales tax, as applicable.

Central Texas Aviation Group requires a signature for postal service deliveries over $100.00 and FedEx deliveries over $250.00.

We offer free ground shipping on selected products for all domestic orders within the 48 contiguous states. Such offers are valid while supplies last and are for ground service only. Other limitations may apply. Central Texas Aviation Group does not ship on weekends or major holidays. Overnight Delivery is not available in all locations, including remote areas such as Hawaii and Alaska.

Extended delivery areas known as "Delivery Area Service" (DAS) may incur higher fees averaging $4.00 per package when the delivery address is generally more than fifty miles from a major metropolitan area. Residential deliveries will incur an additional fee of $3.50 per package. A commercial location is a preferred delivery address when possible. Mail receiving services such as the UPS Store also count as a commerical location. If such a service is used, please include the "PMB" or Personal Mail Box Number.

Delivery Attempts

The shipping courier will make two attempts to deliver your merchandise and will leave a door hanger notifying you of the attempt. If the package is undeliverable after two attempts, the product will be returned to our warehouse. You will be credited for the price of the item, but you will not be credited for any shipping and handling charges you may have been charged. If you refuse delivery, a credit will be issued for the price of the product but not for shipping charges (if applicable). All credits will be applied to the payment method in the original order.

Leaving Signed Notes

By leaving a signed note giving the courier permission to leave a package at the door, you have relinquished Central Texas Aviation Group and the courier of any and all responsibility for loss or damage.

Post Office Boxes and Army Post Office/Fleet Post Office (APO/FPO/DPO)

FedEx will not deliver to Post Office Boxes. Please provide an alternative street address in the shipping information fields. If you still have the P.O. Box listed in the "ship to" address it will automatically default to the postal service. Please note that the postal service will have a different shipping rate than the rate given at the time your order is placed. You must make sure you delete any reference to the P.O. or APO address from the shipping field if delivery to a physical address is intended.

We can ship to APO/FPO addresses using U.S. Postal Service Mail. Missing orders can only be traced after 15 business days from the ship date. Replacement orders or credit for damaged or missing orders will not be issued until the US Postal Service has approved the claim; the claims process could take as long as 4 - 6 weeks. The U.S. Postal Service imposes weight and size limitations on shipments to some locations. Please consult your local postal office for more information.

Priority Mail is recommended for APO shipments to overseas locations. Please note that APO/FPO deliveries can take up to 6-8 weeks depending on local conditions at destination. USPS package tracking is not always available to final destination and only at the point of delivery. Smaller items will be shipped via First Class Mail where appropriate. Insurance is strongly suggested for higher value orders.

International Shipping

We quickly ship international orders just about anywhere in the world for very reasonable rates. FedEx is available but Postal Service International Priority Mail or International Express Mail will be more economical. The service commitment is usually 6-10 business days for Priority Mail and 3-5 business days for Express Mail. Delivery time may vary with your country's postal system. Orders shipped to an address different from the billing address will be delayed for verification (usually one extra day). Please allow additional time for customs clearance upon entry as this varies between each country.

Central Texas Aviation Group charges you only what it costs us to deliver your order to your door however additional fees may be added if required for customs preparation and mandatory insurance. If an order is refused, we will credit for the cost of the product only, not the shipping charges.

It is the customers responsibility to contact the local customs, the courier office regarding any additional and applicable customs, duties, or Vat charges. (Please note that some European countries charge a minimal customs handling fee, our courier does not include this in their price; therefore, you will be charged an additional $10 in addition to duty and VAT.)

The customer is responsible for all customs fees, value added taxes, import fees and excise taxes. Product values will not be altered in an attempt to avoid fees and taxes.

Central Texas Aviation Group is not responsible for shipments which are delayed due to causes beyond the control of our carriers, including, but not limited to the following: Weather Delays, Acts of God, riots, strikes or other labor disputes, air traffic control delays, disruptions in air or ground transportation networks due to events such as weather phenomena and natural disasters.

Personal Pickup

Local pickup in Austin, Texas is available. Select "Local Pickup" during checkout. A $10 fee will initally be charged but removed upon finalizing the order. This became necessary when college students would choose local pickup with no fee but still required shipping. So, a fee was added to discourage the practice. Sad, I know!
